Five stories free. Then pay for the days you travel.
The first five stories are free, on any road, with no account, and they don't expire. Once they're used it goes quiet, mid-trip if need be, until there's a pass. A pass keeps it talking for 1, 3 or 7 days: $2.99, $4.99 or $9.99 in the US. Nothing renews.

First five stories
The same stories a pass gets, on any road. Counted in stories rather than days, so a week at home uses none unless you tap a place on the map to hear it. After the fifth it goes quiet, even mid-trip, until there's a pass.
$2.99
1 day
A day out. Everything it says, and you can ask it questions out loud.
$4.99
3 days · $1.66 a day
A long weekend, the most common length of trip.
$9.99
7 days · $1.43 a day
A holiday, at less than half the price of single days.
US App Store prices. Apple sets the price in every other currency, and the app shows yours. A pass starts when you buy it, or, if one is already running, at the first new story after that one ends and the free stories are used. It follows your Apple ID to a new phone.

Questions about money
Is it a subscription?
No. You buy a pass for a number of travelling days and then it ends. Nothing renews and there's nothing to cancel.
Why five stories and not a free week?
Install it on a Monday, spend the week at work, and a seven-day trial would be over before you'd heard what it's for. Stories wait until you actually go somewhere, unless you tap a place on the map to hear it, which counts as one. Five is enough to hear what it does, not to finish a trip: once they're used it goes quiet, in the middle of a trip if that's where they run out, until there's a pass.
When does a pass start?
When you buy it, if none is running. Otherwise when the running one has ended and the free stories are used, at the next new story, even in the middle of a trip. Nothing counts down while a pass is waiting.
Are there adverts?
No, and there won't be. No sponsored stops, no affiliate bookings, no data sold. The pass is how it pays for itself instead.
